“To heal is to touch with love that which was previously touched by fear.” - Stephen Levine

I am a holistic, trauma-focused therapist centering culture, empowerment, and mindfulness to support clients with mind-body-spirit wellness. I believe that stress and trauma are stored in our bodies causing us to disconnect from our whole self. In your healing journey, we will tap into your inner power to help you release what is not serving you so you can own your most authentic self.

Connecting with your inner self can be tough when you’ve had to survive the labels and meanings others have placed on you. To challenge self-inflicted gaslighting, I strengthen traditional therapies such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic work, with both somatic and value-focused techniques to build a relationship with your unconscious self.

In a session with me, we will honor your story in a way that makes sense to you, work through complementary somatic and cognitive exercises to identify triggers and blockages, develop embodied coping skills to navigate activating emotions with clarity, access your inner world(s) through creative, value-focused exploration, and center your strengths to cultivate transformative change.

Curious about me? I am an MSW graduate from Columbia University in NY. I am a Southern Cali native who loves nature and all that is green. I’m goofy, chill, and I like to do Elmo impersonations.

Our capacity to destroy one another is matched by our capacity to heal one another.” – Bessel Van Der Kolk

I believe that we, as human beings, naturally strive to heal and survive. I seek to help others tap into the deep-rooted wellsprings of healing and change that already exist within us all. As a trauma-focused therapist, I work from the theory that each of us is deeply impacted by our environment—our families, culture, childhood, and personal experiences. When these experiences are painful or traumatic, it can be hard to understand or process their impact on how we move through life. Through our work together, I want to help you process those painful experiences and nurture and restore the relationships with yourself, others, and the world around you.

Modalities I use for this work include EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, somatic work, and parts work. In a session with me, you can expect thoughtful check-ins about what you’re experiencing, space to take mindful inventory of your inner life, my supporting you in using skills to find harmony in your mind and body, and, when you’re ready, my guiding you through EMDR processing of troubling memories. While I am able to assist adults from all walks of life in their journey of mental health, I specialize in working with those experiencing trauma, depression, or anxiety in the LGBTQIA2-S+ community and the creative community.

A little about me: I am an MSW graduate from the University of Denver with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma. I am EMDR trained and have worked with adults of all ages experiencing chronic mental illness, substance abuse, and complex trauma. I am also a performance artist who loves all things strange and beautiful. In my free time, I enjoy reading at the local garden, singing 1970s witch rock covers, and birdwatching.
